About
I spent my childhood moving across the world, from Asia, to the Middle East, and now England. My curious mind was kept happy learning about the multicultural perspectives that surrounded me. It was only when I came to England at 16 did I start to feel the itch to find out everything I could for myself. People didn’t seem to offer their life experience in day-to-day conversation as I was used to.
I grew up acting, singing, and dancing, and at 18 I decided to drop the scripts for the notepad. I am driven by a love for learning about people’s lived experience, finding creative approaches to enhance work, and I enjoy working to tight deadlines, thriving under pressure.
Over the years as a trainee journalist I have worked consistently at all of my skills, ensuring I can use multimedia throughout all of my storytelling. Moving around as a child I learnt versatility and flexibility is important, and I love training every aspect required of a journalist.
I also embrace change and travel, as I believe it allows for growth. Last year I did an exchange at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. I was lucky to have that time to start a podcast and find some experience to help me build my portfolio when I came home!
Despite having coeliac disease, I am also a big foodie 😀
